Are You A Discus Thrower? - Lower Back
If you have ever had significant back pain, you know how debilitating it can be. Some cases are simple and resolve in very short order. Some back problems are chronic and require more attention to the underlying cause. Evaluation of the lower back may include palpation, range of motion, muscle strength, neurologic and orthopedic testing, reflexes, posture, X-ray, surface EMG and thermography.
Lower back dysfunction may lead to:
- Back pain
- Hip and leg pain
- Numbness in leg or foot
- Bowel or Bladder problems
- Menstrual Disorders
- Restless Legs
- Weakness in Legs
- Knee Problems
Spinal Decompression
Exceptional cases when the disc is bulging or herniating, that causes
chronic back and/or leg pain, may need special attention using spinal
decompression. This has been very effective in a large percentage of cases
involving the disc.
